C3M is demolishing and reconstructing King County Metro's Atlantic Base Trolley Bus Yard. The project will be executed in three phases to ensure uninterrupted operations and allow the facility to remain functional throughout construction.
Demolition will be carried out at the start of each construction phase. The scope of work includes removing the existing overhead contact system (OCS), which encompasses trolley wires, crossovers, support pull-offs, support span wires, OCS poles, and most of the underground feeder cables.
C3M will install 13,960 linear feet of new trolley conductors, complete with switches, curve segments, and crossovers to enhance transportation, capacity, and performance. Additionally, 6,205 linear feet of new underground and aerial feeder cables will be installed to power the upgraded overhead system.
Prior to construction, C3M provided cost estimating, scheduling, and constructability input during this collaborative General Contractor/Construction Manager project's preconstruction phase.
